The MIP - Food Ministry includes the distribution of food and personal items to our communities.  This is part of our intermediate mission work - catering to the needs of those around us.  Our trucks go out six days a week, traveling over 500 miles around the county (sometimes outside) to load up for delivery to our Church premises.  For out of state items, we generally request for it to be delivered, as we are not equipped to pick up from out of state yet - although we are looking for sponsors in this area.

 

We distribute twice a week to the community - on Tuesdays and Fridays at 4:00pm; fresh bakery items, meat/poultry,  are given out after our Sunday celebration and worship services which starts at 10:00am.  The items we distribute regularly on a weekly basis includes - Bread and cereals, Fruits, Vegetables, Milk/dairy, meat/poultry,   oil etc.,  We also make available toothpaste, lotion, deodorant, clothing etc.,

 

We serve approximately 300 families per week, 15,600 families per year.  The average number of people per family is 4, thus translating to 62,400 recipients per year.  Our recipients come from the following counties - San Bernardino, Riverside and Los Angeles.  The breakdown includes:

 

30% senior citizens and physically challenged, and 70% all other

 

30% African-American, 25% Caucasian, 40% Hispanics, and 5% all other

 

95% citizens or legal aliens, 5% unknown
